Hey, I was doing this in the 1959 era with a hardbody guitar
that I built with electronic magnetic pickup. The normal amplifiers used at the time had to have at least 2 stages of preamp put on the input! Otherwise they would not let you get the tapped note to sound decent. I never got to be good enough with guitar to make it have a difference and be noticed. I also had a continuous tape player to get the echo effect like Les Paul had perfected. Then I saw Les Paul performing with it in Atlaantic City in the 1962 era - - > the rest is history !
Supreme Compliments to Kim to have spent his time to perfect it as well as he has! In a few more years he will be the Wizzard of the Guitar Piano Combination Instrument! He has wonderful skill!
