The new Modest Mouse video.

I was a big fan of Modest Mouse back when I first heard them in 2000. I got hooked with the song “Breakthrough” and “Life Like Weeds.” I also liked them because they were somewhat obscure, and I love listening to what no one else is. Then they started getting increasingly commercial. “Gravity Rides Everything” showed up on a commercial for the Nissan Quest. Their latest single greatly departs from their sound – I feel like they’re trying to emulate The Killers. And now, to make matters worse, their song “Float On” shows up on an American Idol Ford commercial.

Lady yells at kids who did the following bad things:

1. TRESPASSING
2. ILLEGAL PHOTOGRAPHS
3. YOU’RE NOT ALLOWED
4. YOU’VE BEEN YELLED AT
